INTRODUCTION
At Freeze Yourself, your safety and well-being are our top priorities. This disclaimer provides important information regarding the use of our products, including portable ice baths – cold and portable ice baths –heat and should be read carefully.
GENERAL USE
All products sold by Freeze Yourself are intended for adult use and should not be used by children without adult supervision. Users should consult a healthcare professional before starting any new health or wellness routine, especially if they have pre-existing health conditions or concerns.
PRODUCT: PORTABLE ICE BATHS – COLD
- Risk of Hypothermia: Prolonged exposure to cold water can lead to hypothermia. Always monitor the time spent in the ice bath and avoid exceeding recommended durations.
- Skin infection and open wounds: If a user has a skin infection, open or weeping wound(s), then they should not use the ice bath as it may be a health hazard for other users and the freezing water could cause further infection for the user. Additionally, if a user is prone to skin irritation, then they should be mindful that use of the ice bath may cause their skin to be irritated.
- Medical Conditions: A user should always enter an ice bath with caution, slowly and ease into the cold water and not jump straight into the cold water. This approach should be taken by all users, but especially users with heart conditions, circulatory problems, or other health issues and you should always consult with a healthcare professional before using the ice bath.
PRODUCT: PORTABLE ICE BATHS – HEAT
- Risk of overheating, dehydration and dizziness: Extended exposure to hot water can lead to overheating, dehydration, dizziness and light headiness which could impact your blood pressure and cause you to faint. Limit sessions as per guidelines, hydrate adequately, and exit immediately if feeling unwell.
- Risk of Burns: The heated water in the bath can become very hot. Use with caution and do not remain inside the hot water for extended periods to prevent burns.
- Skin infection and open wounds: If a user has a skin infection, open or weeping wound(s), then they should not use the bath as it may be a health hazard for other users and the heated water could cause further infection for the user. Additionally, if a user is prone to skin irritation, then they should be mindful that heated water use may cause their skin to be irritated.
- Pregnancy and Health Conditions: Pregnant women and individuals with certain medical conditions (e.g. low or high blood pressure, respiratory issues, recent head knocks or concussion) should consult their doctor before using the heated bath.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Freeze Yourself is not responsible for any injury or harm resulting from the misuse of our products or services, failure to follow safety guidelines, or use contrary instructions. This includes injuries such as burns from the heated bath. Users assume all risks associated with the use of our products and services.
